What is the CLEP Social Sciences and History Test?
CLEP exams allow you to earn college credit without taking a traditional semester-long course. If you’ve gained knowledge through previous coursework, independent study, work experience, or life experience, you can take this single exam and potentially receive college credit.
This exam does not correspond to one specific college course. Instead, it reflects material commonly taught in introductory-level:
- History
- Economics
- Geography
- Political science
Passing this test may:
- Allow you to earn three or more college credits
- Save you money compared to paying for a full semester course
- Help you graduate on time or even ahead of schedule
- Add flexibility to your degree program
Before registering, you should check with your college or university to confirm that they accept CLEP Social Sciences and History exam scores.
