The College Board administers the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP®), which offers affordable exams that help students receive college credit for knowledge they already have. The CLEP Introductory Psychology exam tests your understanding of psychological principles, behavior, history of psychology, and research methods.
What is the CLEP Introductory Psychology Test?
CLEP exams allow you to earn college credit for knowledge gained through previous coursework, independent study, job experience, or life experience.
By taking and passing the CLEP Introductory Psychology test, you can skip a one-semester Intro to Psychology course and receive college credit without taking the class.
This can potentially:
- Allow you to earn three or more college credits
- Save you money (the exam is much cheaper than a college semester)
- Help you graduate on time or even ahead of schedule
- Add flexibility to your degree program
- Eliminate hours of lectures and homework
Before registering, you should confirm with your college that they accept CLEP Introductory Psychology scores.
