The College Board administers the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP®), which offers affordable exams that allow students to earn college credit for knowledge they already have. The CLEP College Algebra exam assesses your understanding of core algebra concepts, including linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, functions, and graphs.
What is the CLEP® College Algebra Exam?
The CLEP College Algebra exam allows you to earn college credit without taking a full semester course. If you’ve learned algebra through previous coursework, independent study, work experience, or life experience, you can take this single exam and potentially receive the same credit as completing a one-semester college algebra class.
By passing the CLEP College Algebra exam, you may:
- Earn three or more college credits
- Save money compared to paying for a semester-long course
- Graduate on time or even ahead of schedule
- Add flexibility to your degree program
- Avoid hours of lectures and homework
Before registering, check with your college to confirm they accept CLEP College Algebra credit.
