The GACE 731 is a computer-based assessment consisting of three independently scored testlets. Candidates may complete all testlets during a single appointment or schedule them separately. Candidates can register for the GACE Special Education Adapted Curriculum (P–12) (731) assessment through the official Pearson GACE website after creating a secure testing account.

During registration, candidates can:

• Select an available testing center

Registration requires payment of the applicable testing fee using an accepted payment method, including major credit or debit cards.

GACE 731 Special Education Adapted Scoring Information

The GACE Special Education Adapted Curriculum (P–12) (731) assessment uses a scaled score ranging from 100 to 300. Each testlet contributes to your overall assessment score, and raw scores are converted to scaled scores to ensure fairness across different exam versions.

The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) establishes the passing standards for Georgia educator certification.

• Score Scale: 100–300
• Induction Certification Passing Score: 220
• Professional Certification Passing Score: 250 (where required by GaPSC)
• Score Reports: Available through your Pearson GACE account after scoring is complete
• Unofficial Scores: Not provided immediately after testing

Candidates who do not achieve the required passing score may retake the assessment after meeting the GACE retake policy and registration requirements.

The combined GACE 731 assessment fee is currently $169, while candidates taking individual testlets separately pay the applicable fee for each subtest. Additional fees may apply for services such as score verification or extra score reports.
