The GACE Physics (718) assessment is a computer-delivered certification examination consisting entirely of selected-response (multiple-choice) questions. GACE Physics (6–12) Scoring Information
The GACE Physics assessment uses a scaled score ranging from 100 to 300.
To successfully earn certification at the induction level, candidates generally must:
- Earn a minimum cumulative scaled score of 220
- Meet the required performance floor for each of the four testlets
Some Georgia teaching fields recognize higher professional-level certification standards after additional teaching experience and assessments.
Unlike classroom exams, every question on the GACE assessment does not necessarily count toward your final score. ETS includes unscored pretest questions to evaluate future exam items, although candidates cannot distinguish these questions during testing.
Official score reports are released according to the published GACE score-reporting schedule and become available through your GACE testing account. Your scores are automatically reported to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) and any additional score recipients you selected during registration.
