The two main high school equivalency exams offered in Guam are the HiSET and GED tests, both of which are accepted as equivalent to a high school diploma by 99% of employers and institutions of higher education across the United States.

How to Get a GED in Guam

What score do I need to pass the Guam GED Test? To get a GED in Guam, you must score at least of 145 in each of the four GED subjects. The GED Guam test is scored from 100 to 200, and you need a minimum score of 145 on each subject test to pass and obtain a total of at least 580 points.

The Guam GED test features four performance levels: Below Passing (100-144), indicating the need to retake the subject; Passing for High School Equivalency (145-164), showing skills equivalent to a high school graduate; GED College Ready (165-174), which suggests readiness for college-level coursework; and GED College Ready + Credit (175-200), the highest level, potentially qualifying test-takers for up to 10 college credits at certain institutions.

As of September 1, 2023, the fee structure for taking the GED test in Guam is designed to be accessible while ensuring the integrity of the testing process.   • These retakes must be used within 365 days after your full-price test.

New Policy (Starting July 1, 2023):

  • You will receive one discounted retake for every GED test subject you purchase but do not pass.
  • This offer repeats (1 full price: 1 discount) until you pass the test, with GED Testing Service waiving its $26 testing fee.
  • Additional testing fees may still apply in your state.
  • In Guam, there is an $11.25 test center fee for GED test retakes.
