Step 2: Attend a PMP Training Program

Once your eligibility is confirmed, the next step is to complete a PMP training program to earn your required contact hours. It is advisable to enroll in an accredited online or in-person course that covers essential project management concepts.

Step 3: Submit Your Application

The application form consists of three sections:

  1. General Information: Here, you provide your personal details and contact information.

Step 5: Schedule Your Exam

Once your application is approved and any audit requirements are met, you will be prompted to pay the exam fee. PMI members pay $405 for the exam, while non-members pay $555. Joining PMI before applying for the PMP exam can save you money on fees and provide additional resources.  

After payment, PMI will send you a code that allows you to schedule your exam through Pearson VUE’s website. You have one year from the date of approval to take the exam and are permitted up to three attempts within that year if necessary.
