The goal is to simplify what is often a complex and technical bureaucratic process.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Policy Shift Driving Innovation<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative follows President Donald Trump\u2019s May executive orders aimed at cutting down the nuclear licensing timeline from several years to as little as 18 months. The directive reflects the administration\u2019s strategy to meet energy needs more rapidly, particularly as data centers powered by AI increasingly strain the grid.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Enhancing Existing Plants<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond new builds, the AI system could also benefit current nuclear facilities.
