New York State High School Equivalency (HSE)<\/span><\/h2>\n

Overview<\/span><\/h3>\n

In New York State, the General Educational Development (GED) Test has replaced the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) as the primary pathway to a High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma since January 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Test takers over 19 can take the GED online and view their unofficial scores in their GED account after each subject test. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) processes and mails the HSE diplomas within 8-10 weeks after a test taker has passed all subject tests.<\/span><\/p>\n
